cabbage thogayal Recipe: (Category: Chutneys / Pickles)

Ingredients: cabbage-250 gms(cut into
fine small pieces)
urad dhal -2 tsp
red chillies -3 - 4
asfoetida - little
salt -as required
oil-2tsp
Tamarind- little
Method: Heat a kadai and add 2 tsp oil. when
it is heated up add urad dhal and red
chillies. Fry untill it turns slightly brown
in colour but see tothat it does not
get burnt. Add asfoetida. Now add
tamarind and cabbage and mix well
and allow it to cook for 4-5 mins.add
switch off the gas. allow it to cool to
room temp.
Grind the entire content in mixie and
just before removing add salt and
grind for few seconds.
Cabbage thogayal is ready. Serve with
rice , chapati , dosa and idli.
